In 2022 Our Kerikeri organised the first Christmas in the Domain. It was supported by many generous businesses, funders and volunteers and was enjoyed by approximately 5,000 people.

THIS YEAR’S EVENTS
Off the back of last year’s success we will be bringing you two events:
Christmas in the Domain on Saturday 9 December 2023, 4pm - 8pm
Carols under the Tree on Saturday 2 December 2023, 7.30pm - 9pm
Christmas in the Domain includes a parade, live entertainment, festive treats, games and competitions for the whole family.
Carols under the Tree includes traditional carols along with solo musicians, tasty treats, letter writing to Santa and lighting the stunning 15 foot Christmas tree.

This year the parade theme is Under the Sea - an obvious choice for our town, with its proximity to the stunning Bay of Islands, beaches and marine playground. Choose from a marine creature, mythical or animated character or seaside leisure activity - let your imagination go wild!

This year we announce the launch of Kerikeri’s first ever, BBQ Bake Off Competition, generously sponsored by Bunnings.
From 6pm teams of four will be battling over the grill and flames, on barbecues supplied by Bunnings, to deliver a Christmas-inspired feast, all under the watchful eye of our judge. Supreme Sizzler will be announced at 7.30pm.
BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!
From 4pm we will be auctioning off six barbecues (including the four that are used in the competition). We can’t think of a better way to prepare Christmas lunch or dinner than these sturdy, reliable gas BBQs.
The proceeds of the auctions go towards the costs of hosting the Christmas in the Domain.
Please note that the BBQs must be collected on the day or by Sunday 10 December at the latest.
